Welcome to the Photosynthesis Blog. Over the coming weeks, months, years I'll be posting articles about all things giclee and digital images on canvas or digital printing on canvas. This is an art medium that has been bolstered by the advancements in inkjet printers. Canon now has an IPF 8300 which can print in 16 bit color, the only printer to do such that is currently on the market.
What this means is that digital images on canvas are easy to make look fantastic. You can acquire vivid breathtaking color. The quality of a digital image on canvas is almost as good as on matte or glossy paper. The best part is that you get the added bonus of the artistic effect that the textrue of cnavas gives to the image, not to mention the durability of canvas. Giclees will last well over 100 years if treated properly and all giclees should be produced with a clear coat UV protectant.
Keep tuned into my blog and also feel free to check out my web site and twitter or facebook page for examples and repostings and retweets to great articles.
